Set out to get the truck sprayed this weekend. Went to a friend’s place Friday night and went to work:
Pulled lights, finish sanded, then pulled it in the shop and covered the cab. Wiped it down and went to spraying:
With the blue laid down and dry, I taped it off and laid the silver:
Then we pulled the tape, tacked it off, and went to clearing:
Got it all cleared and most of the masking peeled Friday night. Came back Saturday morning to put it all back together and decided the cab needed a good clay bar/buff to bring it up to snuff (left side before/right side after):
with it all clean it was time to snap some more pics:
Now I just gotta get new 4x4 decals, new bed rails, and put on new pin stripes.

That’s pretty. And yet it’s still just another reason in my mind as to why we should flatbed everything.

If you don't get the 4x4 stickers will it just be two wheel drive?

I’d skip the pinstripe, but thats a good looking long boi.
I genuinely like those years of the super duty over the 4 refreshes later 2015 ones.

I feel the pinstripe finishes the 2 tone and it’s cheap/easy.
I prefer this generation as well. I think the newer ones are too much.

Yes and it’ll be down at least 10hp.......

I had a flatbed years ago. After owning one, 8ft bed is the only way to go in my mind, the flatbed was a PITA for carrying most things. I prefer being able to just drop things in the bed and be done.

Wow. That looks good.

Thats why both of ours have dropsides! But it's also illegal down here to have an unrestrained load so regardless of body style...ropes or nets are required. Which shifts the balance to flat beds.

Mine had drop sides as well. But around here it’s legal to drive without tying down so long as it’s not blowing/moving around. It’s really nice to drop a driveline in the bed, or a load of 2x4's, or a load of pavers and not have to worry about needing to tie it down. That being said, it leads to people hauling some very sketchy unrestrained loads.

Hey, kind of curious what the miles are on the truck and what you’re planning on listing for

149 ,000 miles (roughly as I’m dailying it currently). Figure it’ll go up for $15k (obo) . I found my carrier for the driveshaft is going bad, so I will be changing that before listing it so it’s all good to go.
I’m also going to see what they’ll give me for trade as we’ve been looking at the Transit Connect vans more.

Hmm... I may have some thinking to do. Let me know before you list it if you don’t trade it in

If you’re interested, I would save myself the work and sell it as is slightly cheaper. ;)

Figured I’d just let you know not to wait for me...as much as I’d like to get a diesel I can’t really swing it right now. I’d have to sell my current truck first and since I only really use it to tow a few times a month it really isn’t a need as much as a want.

Ok, thanks.
Carrier will be here today along with the 4x4 decals, so she’ll be back up to par and on the market next week.
